MANCHESTER GETS THE EUROPEAN BLUES
Manchester Acoustic Blues Festival set to return 21st-22nd June, 2015
As a component of this year’s independent Biennial Festival, the Manchester Acoustic Blues Festival ‘MABS Fest’ returns with a world class line up. The event will also host the European Blues Awards from 2014 that were postponed from the London Blues Festival following the sudden tragic passing of nominee and award winner Jack Bruce last October. Acts from right across the globe include Ryan McGarvey from the USA who ends his current UK tour at the event, France’s Peter Von Toy, Kyla Brox, Peter Price and British R&B Festival favourites Bluesman Mike Francis, Dai Thomas and Mal Gibson.
MABS Fest is purely acoustic and will be held in the bespoke new performance venue at Salford’s Eagle Inn and will run from 4pm on Sunday, 21 June. The European Blues Award winner’s presentations are to be held from 7 pm the following day on Monday 22nd.
