Just have to say what a fantastic evening was had at the True Blues Club, on Friday, 7th August, in Newton-le-Willows, with the fantastic guitarist/singer Jon Amor and friends, featuring Mark Barrett on drums, plus Sam Bratley on guitar/vocals and Martin Saunders on bass from the local band The Black Circles.
With a mix of classic blues, Jon’s self-penned tunes, Hoax covers and Black Circles tunes, the evening was lively and entertaining with some class music from these excellent musicians. I think I can say it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
The True Blues Club is a hidden gem at the Earlestown Conservative Club, Newton-le-Willows, down in the basement like a true ‘juke joint’. With excellent stage lighting and sound rig which all add to the authentic atmosphere of a ‘True Blues Club’.
The next gig will be Friday 4th September with Gerry Quigley & The Shinkickers – http://truebluesclub.uk/event/gerry-quigley-the-shinkickers/
